My buddy is shopping for LSA
Sometimes the most fun way to get into the backcountry, Part 103 Ultralights and Light Sport Aircraft have their own considerations.
Foxflyer wrote:My kitfox is the only way I can afford to fly. I paid 25,000 for it with 102 hrs Rotax 912 ul (80 hp). I burn 4 gal an hour and cruise 105 mph on 87 octane. The plane weighs 649lbs empty and gross at 1200lbs, that means you can fill full of gas, 26 gal and put 2 200lb guys in it ok one 200lb guy and one 196lb guy and cruise for six hrs and have a 1/2 hr reserve. Any way here is a video of me landing in my back yard.
Nice landing! Great fun!

It is not 'What you fly',
But 'That you fly'!
Looks like grand fun to me! I say "Keep on lovin' it"

Humor may not make the world go around, but it certainly cheers up the process...

With clothing, the opposite of NOMEX is polypro (polypropylene cloth and fleece).
Success has many fathers...... Failure is an orphan.
Tadpole,
Thanks for the effort. I'm never going to sell this one if I dont start telling everyone about it. Hope your friend find what he wants for the right price.

Everything (even folding wings) except the 100 mph cruise can be found in a Ridge Runner
http://www.realflying.com/In mine, with a Rotax 503 (50hp), I cruise at 65 to 70mph, top out at 90. I'm getting 80' ground roll on take-offs, 80'-100' landing roll-out. It has folding wings, a wide range of available engine options, 17" carlisle tires come standard with it. I posted some videos of it on YouTube. You are welcome to check them out.

Wow! Thanks for checking out the videos. I had no idea you (or anyone) had even seen the videos already.
