Re: Paging emflys

Mine is 752 with 8:50s and an 8" Matco single arm tailwheel. It has extended gear legs and OregonAero seats. The custom pearlescent paint with clear coat probably added a few extra pounds.

Re: Paging emflys

My long tail S7S weighed 746 lbs when I got my air worthiness cert. Simple panel, simple and not thick or heavy finish and paint job. Extras I did from stock were an all aircraft plywood baggage bay clear down to the lower longerons (it has a tunnel for the elevator pushrod). All of that space between the airframe bays is usable, much more room then the stock bag. I also have a aux baggage door that allow access to the tail cone behind the main baggage. Sensinich wood prop back then. Stock gear legs and 8:00 tires. Stock boat anchor Odyssey battery. VG's. Single arm 8" Matco tailwheel. A plexiglas windshield, lexan skylight. No strobes or lights of any kind.

Additions since are: 29" Airstreaks, Kiev prop (small skull cap aluminum spinner, not a 12 " glass one) , Roberts 3" extended bush gear with the RAGE shock system, a flip up window on one side, dual arm 8" Matco, and a 3 gallon aluminum header tank. Also a EarthX battery, so mostly gained weight for sure with the tires, broke even on the gear, gained a few lbs with the RAGE. Lost a bit with the other mods. It will be interesting to get it back on the scales.

749 with oil and coolant, 6.00 tires and 8" Matco TW. Factory quick build. We were hoping for 730, extended baggage and urethane paint didn't help. Oh yeah, forgot to mention the monster gear. Supposed to add #4 over the standard gear but that seems optimistic.

Re: Paging emflys

That's what my factory quick build weighed on 800's and factory TW. I'll be interested to hear what you think of the monster gear. So far I have had no complaints with the regular gear, but haven't tried any extreme landings.
