Do you have any contacts with a set of Fleet floats for sale?

Re: STOL/Trainer under $30k

Are you looking for an original set of Fleet floats or an STC'd set.

As I recall the original design was a bit unique and I believe manufactured by Fleet Industries "in house". I'm betting locating a set of those woulded be challanging to say the least, I've only ever seen them installed once many years ago. The main wheels where essentially removed, the axle stubs clamped directly onto the deck of the floats with spreader bars and water rudder cables then connected. I dont recall if it was a single water rudder or a dual set.

Sealand Aviation in Campbell River may have a set of Fleet floats. There’s a few unairworthy ones around that you could “rebuild” from the data plate, like we do helicopters.

I could help import one, but mine is not for sale.

Quick search of the forum shows you've owned that one for a while! Beautiful airplane. Would love to fly one.
