I have no choice but to comply [emoji16]

Very excited for you! Flying behind this new (more powerful) engine is going to be a treat.

I was very "conflicted", I really like my Conti but was facing a substantial overhaul that was essentially equal to the price the 0-360 was offered to me. The extra ponies will be nice for floats and ski operations, especially on those muggy and humid August days we get at our Lat/Long.

Hope you have enough money left over for shoulder harness.

After all of Aryana's hard work to get this "exhaust" thread back in tune and you throw seatbelts into the conversation, thanks Kurt  but yes I do have them on the "to do" list.

Re: This is exhausting

I was fully committed to Vetterman exhaust system however I'll recently be presented with a very good opportunity to pick up an installed but never used Powerflow system.

I looking at it I was struck by the seemingly small diameter of the headers. Is this a purposeful design feature, they make some serious claims of performance improvements and the small sizing seems a bit counter-intuitive to me.

Can anyone offer their insight on the Powerflow product for a Lycoming 0-360 ?

It works good. Definitely makes more static then the stock exhaust on a 360 powered Husky. Much better heat then stock as well. If you can keep it from cracking then you'll like it.

Re: This is exhausting

The smaller tubes increase the velocity of the exhaust gases. This aids in scavenging exhaust from the cylinders, and creates distinct pulses in the exhaust that are carefully merged at the collector. (Tuned). Smaller pipes on a street racer improve torque at lower RPM. You’re looking for high torque at a very low 2600 RPM. It all makes sense to me.

4 large, separate exhaust pipes coming off the cylinders and straight out the sides of the cowl would be the solution if minimizing back pressure was the only objective. It doesn’t work. That engine wouldn’t perform as well as the Powerflow equipped engine.

You’re on the right course. Keep going. 8)

Some unfortunate information to pass on but IF anyone is considering purchasing a Vetterman exhaust system please, please PM me for further "intel" prior to any monetary disbursements.
