Where did you fly today?

Did you fly somewhere cool, take photos, and feel like telling the tale to make us drool from the confines of our offices? Post them up!

Re: Where did you fly today?

I got to finally take the plane out by myself. This is the first time that I got to actually just enjoy flying. I have heard all you guys talk about it, just being alone up there all by yourself.

Its truly an amazing feeling. Everything I had on my mind just kind of fell away.

This was a lap around the home turf. From PKB up river to St.Marys, WV (and the Willow Island power house), then back across the river over Wayne National Forest, then over the Muskingum River then back to PKB.

Brett,

Doing great!! Just checked out of the C-12D yesterday! Sadly, nothing left but 84 hours of sim time for the C-12V now. And no pictures from the checkride since I was with DES, hahaha. It was a really good flight though. Conditions have been REALLY nice down here lately. I still miss cold weather and snow on the ground though. Hope ya'll are well!

After a few weeks of being grounded, I was able to go flying today. Thanks mtnwest for being PIC and hauling me around on a nice winter day.

Re: Where did you fly today?

I flew to the Bahamas in my head yesterday. In real life I got the plane out of the hangar and started the engine, but the turf runway was soggy from melting snow, so I couldn't even taxi, let alone take off or land on it. Sigh...

Flew the 180 from graham to Lubbock to look at a super cub. Kind of neat to see how much The landscape changes out here.

Re: Where did you fly today?

I know the backcountry flying in the West is spectacular beyond description and that the mention of the words New Jersey may bring the reaction portrayed in the commercial for Pace Picante Sauce a few years back. "New Jersey?!!!, get a rope!!!"

but here is a little flight with a couple of grass runway bounces in the occasionally despised state. The first airport, Andover Aeroflex is beautiful. :P

Re: Where did you fly today?

I finally had a chance to edit some pics and video of a flight taken on Thanksgiving Day in the PNW. I got to take my wife's little brother and sister up for a scenic tour in the Willamette Valley. My sister-in-law is responsible for the pictures and video and my brother-in-law created the music! I just made a measly attempt at editing it all into a video. Hope you all enjoy! And Merry Christmas!
