Where did you fly today?

Did you fly somewhere cool, take photos, and feel like telling the tale to make us drool from the confines of our offices? Post them up!

StuBob, is the pic west side of Cascade Lake in the morning? Just spent several weeks in Cascade.
Beautiful pic.

Technically it was yesterday because our weather is garbage today.

Found this strip out in the Talkeetna range.

Wilberforce Falls on the Hood River. Tough spot to get to, but worth it.

Re: Where did you fly today?

There's a good place to land nearby - kind of a flat top gravely esker about a mile from the canyon but it takes some creative thinking to find a spot where both sets of falls are visible. I'm not actually sure there is such a spot but I didn't try. That slot canyon winds enough that a good line of sight might be hard to come by. There's a tour outfit that brings / retrieves canoeists by twin Otter. Its seriously remote, so I'm sure that's a spendy adventure.

I’m not exactly sure where we flew, it was a bit hazy. Smoke from Canadian wildfires. I can only imagine how bad it gets out west.

Re: Where did you fly today?

On the same day as landing Atlanta, we hit Weatherby and Pine. It's a nice little warm up circuit I like to do. I've got to get the go-pro mounted on the 206, I pulled it off my 182 and never really got around to sorting it back out. Next day we got into Hoodoo, Big Creek, and Chamberlain for a breakfast loop.

It wasn't just today, or yesterday. It was 3 weeks of flying in a Maule, with lots of weather and forest fire detours. Not really backcountry, but there were some grass strips along the way. Just wanted folks to know my Maule isn't a hangar queen.

Re: Where did you fly today?

A couple of photos from a quick sunset flight in the Champ the other evening. Funny thing about the first one is we were chasing the sunset trying to get a shot of the sun setting over the ski area. The sun was going down faster than we were going up. It was still in the mid 80’s and we were getting maybe 200fpm when Mrs Burns said we need to climb faster…..
I think the subject of a Husky came up.

I'd hope 3 weeks of flying might qualify for its own thread - got a trip report or at least a few pics?
Awesome trip!
