2011 BCP Fly Inn Official Photo and Video Thread

and I thought it would best to start a new thread like last year. Lots of folks here already. Counted 31 airplanes this afternoon.

Here are some pics - sorry for all the pics of my plane - to lazy to post individuals on the iPad - need more beer! Fantastic weather. Good day of flying.

Looking forward to seeing more folks.

Good on you!

Coyote got his cub fixed?!? Fantastic.

Seriously bummed I'm not going to make it. I keep telling myself the upgrade is worth it.... sigh.

Re: 2011 BCP Fly Inn Official Photo and Video Thread

Little less flying today. BUMPY/WINDY up high, McCall for fuel, Dixie Town for a nice breakfast, Wilson Bar with a bunch a Maule guys and a fat tired Stinson :D , then got tired of getting tossed, so back to Johnson creek to video everyone getting knocked around on final.

Not a lot of pics. Video later.

Really nice afternoon hanging out under wings, swapping stories and drinkin'. Tomorrow should be great.

What a great trip. We launched from North Bend OR on fathers day, mid afternoon for John Day and then into McCall to meet up with Oregon180 and his family. Two days at Thomas Creek and then into JC on Wed. Here are a few pictures. I'll add more and complete the story later.

Left Friday mid-day from Yakima and enjoyed a nice flight over to JC. Got to chat with Z and Scott along the way.

The trip there and back gave me plenty of time to start learning the Dynon D180

Friday night Prime Rib dinner in Yeller Pine! Matt was loving his dinner and Rob was so focused on eating he couldn't pause to smile :D
Image

Saturday morning I flew pretty high over Gooey (Dewey) Moore to watch Rob and Matt take off...
Image

Then over to Dixie Town for breakfast. It was delicious! Great company and just a neat place to go!
Image
Image
Image

Then back to JC to watch everyone fly back in...saw this cool effect around the sun with a jet passing through!
Image
Image

After Saturday night's potluck, raffle, and guest speaker, it was back to Rob's camp for some fun!
Image

This morning I took my time waking up and packing while everyone went to breakfast. I left late morning for McCall for fuel, and then back home to Yakima. My last "official" count of planes was 90.

Re: 2011 BCP Fly Inn Official Photo and Video Thread

Our trip to Johnson Creek started last Saturday when we flew from California up to my parents house at Fly For Fun Airport in Vancouver, Wa. We then left for Johnson Creek on Thursday evening and made it back to California this afternoon. We had a great time and are already looking forward to next year! Here are some of the pictures we took:

First stop was a private strip near Corning, Ca to pick up a nose bowl for my Dad's Stinson
Image

His fiberglass nose bowl is falling apart but this aluminum one looks good

We did some flying with my Dad around the Vancouver area, here we are at Daybreak

Third that!! Thanks for sharing!

Also, I'm really starting to feel bad I didn't drop everything at home and get up to JC earlier to meet and spend more time hanging out and talking to everyone of you guys. I just meet and talked to a hand full of you. Next year (mark my word and plane or no plane) I'm getting up there a day or two early!!

I wish I would have checked if camping was allowed at Johnson Creek if arriving by dirtbike. Apparently it was not. Oh well, it was only a 14 hour ride down.
