Thanks everyone for making this by far the best fly-in I've ever attended! It was great to see some old friends and meet many new ones! Next year we need to make name tags so we don't have to say.... "who are you?"
Many thanks to the Johnson Creek caretakers, they had a great family and kept the place looking amazing. Many thanks to Matt Potratz for sharing his very touching and inspiring story, may you continue bless and change many! Thank you Neil for tagging along with my slow Stinson, and helping me out with the raffle! Thank you Zane and Erin for not only helping out with the raffle, but for bringing us all together to enjoy one magical week. And thanks to everyone that donated prizes, bought tickets, and supported the raffle in any way! My expectations were exceeded beyond any measure and you folks are the finest people around!
I'll let the pictures do the rest of the talking:
Pre dawn departure

Kneel and I cleared Bravo

Corona Pass on a cloudless day

Smooth air and snow

Somewhere over southern Wyoming

Coal Coal Coal... and more Coal

Mackey Bar among the water and mountains

If this ol' dog could tell stories

Wilson Bar on a calm morning

Dixietown delight!

Kneel ready for work

As American as it gets

Full of avgas and heading for the pass

The most peaceful tub in America

A Pacer in its prime

Soldier Bar in morning light

Two old birds ready to fly

Mile-Hi Magic!

Green grass and blue skies

Breathtaking

Let the show begin!

A wounded pup

Mid field Johnson Creek

SUPERcub meets Stinson

A sandwich that made me smile

A backcountry beauty!

High terrain heading home

The views don't disappoint

Time stands still

Postcard for the memory

Two friends rock'n the springs

High on the divide

Home sweet home and missing JC already

Cheers,
Matt
