Re: 2011 BCP Fly Inn Official Photo and Video Thread

Fly in was lots of fun, met lots of neat people. Will be back next year for sure. (Just won't be driving this time). Just sitting here in my new CubCrafters Jacket and keeping my beer cool with my shortfield.com cozy thanks to the raffle. (Good job Matt and Zane!) Avid- that was a great presentation your cousin put on.

Lot of planes, I think it was the busiest airport in Idaho for about 30 min each morning.

Thanks to everyone who put up with my dog Piper, I think she had more fun then us.

Flew with Rob to Sulphur Creek, great food and waitstaff. (Thanks Rob)
Final at Sulphur Ck.

Re: 2011 BCP Fly Inn Official Photo and Video Thread

Thanks everyone for making this by far the best fly-in I've ever attended! It was great to see some old friends and meet many new ones! Next year we need to make name tags so we don't have to say.... "who are you?"

Many thanks to the Johnson Creek caretakers, they had a great family and kept the place looking amazing. Many thanks to Matt Potratz for sharing his very touching and inspiring story, may you continue bless and change many! Thank you Neil for tagging along with my slow Stinson, and helping me out with the raffle! Thank you Zane and Erin for not only helping out with the raffle, but for bringing us all together to enjoy one magical week. And thanks to everyone that donated prizes, bought tickets, and supported the raffle in any way! My expectations were exceeded beyond any measure and you folks are the finest people around!

I'll let the pictures do the rest of the talking:

Great pics Matt! I realize you edit some of your photos, but what camera do you use? It takes good pictures.

The camera I use is a very old and beatup Canon A570. I'd be embarrassed to even show it to some of you as it's missing all the labels and some buttons (even went for a swim in a icy AK lake years ago), but I just can seem to throw it away when it takes good pictures. It's like an old friend that has seen the world through my eyes. I did do some touch up and mild effects on the pics above though.

Zane, Matt and everybody that went, those that couldn't go, and those that thought about going & didn't go, what a fantastic flyin =D> =D> =D>. To all that sponsored prizes thanks very much and all that bought tickets same to you. May I suggest that all that won prizes contact the MFG or original donator like BAS or Aircraft Spruce directly and send them an email thanking them for their support, hopefully they will consider supporting next years flyin if we do a raffle again.

My contact at A/S was [email protected]
and BAS was "Jim Mettler" <[email protected]>

And thanks to all for putting up with Livie :D See you at the Harmonica Festival

Is anybody else who went sitting at work wishing they were back at JC like I am? I took yesterday off to clean up and relax but back to the grind today. Just driving to work even sucked...don't miss the daily hussle bussle I call life. I should be sitting on the porch of a cabin in Dixie or something!

I have not washed the gewey moore mud off. Maybe I should leave it.

Just crawled out from under a rental house. Now off to town for lunch and supplies. I think I need to fly to Lucas Lodge Friday to say hi to Donna and friends.

Saturday suppose to head to the beach for the 4th with family. Golly I have a great life, family and friends. Life is good!

Good day

I am. I had to fly yesterday and as soon as I was airborne, I wanted to turn for Idaho! I ended up instead going north to visit a small airport and then come back to work.

Fern_hopper, I don't think I got a chance to meet you.......several years ago I got weathered in at Albany. Rob. B flew me down later to pick the airplane back up and I believe you were doing T&G's in a Pacer???? Next time.

BTW, Nice tail!!

Thanks to everyone for a great time! This was our first time at a BCP gathering, and it was great to get to meet many of you and try to put some faces with names and screen names (good luck). Looking forward to next year!
