The flight was a little rough getting over the mountains, but a good flight other than that. Me, Matt, and Alec are camping tonight. See all you guys in the morning.
Dang! Too many things happening tomorrow. The sheetrock guy (who incidentally is a real wizard with rock and mud) is coming to do some significant patching, and I don't think my IA has my airplane back together yet from some instrument repairs. Dang! Maybe later in the year.
Whoo Hoo! I needed a good fly-in like that. That was chicken soup for the soul.
Thanks to all those that came out today and showed support for a great local private strip. The owners were smiling ear to ear and have already asked when the next one was. The weather wasn't perfect, but a dozen planes came out for some good food and friendly chat.
The camping was a little chilly (21F low), but you can't beat a warm pool and some fire side chat.
Foop! Not only did the sheetrock guy come and do his wizardry, but then I had to paint the walls most of Saturday and again Sunday afternoon. Definitely need to get my priorities straight--Hooper looks like you folks had a lot more fun than I did!
