You can definitely have money and still be a free spirit. I know many of them.

Re: 2016 Burning Man

I've been to burningman the last eight years. No interest in going back. Still a fun place mostly - just not the airport. May consider going back if the current self important airport management team gets run off. They don't want you unless you're a paying charter.

Hey Kevin - looks like this is going down on your permanent record (cue the Violent Femmes). This is a board in the "tower" at burning man. Check out the writing in orange - think they are talking about you  Looks like you are not the only one that they got their panties in a twist about.

they blocked out the full N# - but the black and white skywagon and "blank" a-hole??? YOU ARE BANNED!!! I know you are loosing major sleep over that.

Can't wait for HSF 2016!!!

Re: 2016 Burning Man

After the guy in the tights, (sporting a pair of plastic wings that you get from a flight attendant as a child along with a strange little pilot suit) wanted to lecture me on High Desert flying and how dangerous landing on a taxi way can be given the off field environment, I pretty much told them where they could put it as politely as I could. Is what it is.

They did not like my manifest being on my iPhone along with the 31 question test results. I should of read deeper into the rules and such, had them printed out etc., however, the actions from those out there volunteering time should not be acting in the fashion they are. I know the're good folks out there but the actions of these 5 or 6 that rushed to my airplane that day should have a talking to. Again, whatever

Its all over now. Move on...

I love it.

"Suspected fuel leak, call the FAA."

Not quite the peace and love of the 60s hippies I grew up with. Most, as I recall, would fix a leaky gas tank with a bar of Ivory soap, and keep on truckin' down the road.

Different times.

Re: 2016 Burning Man

Why are more and more Richard Cranium's finding their way into airports and off-airports alike?

I swear its a disease that is spreading like wildfire    They won't quit until they have stomped out any whiff of enjoyment.

I don't get it!
