I had other family plans this weekend, but was able to get to Orcas on Friday. It is a pretty sweet spot, but the ride home was BUMPY. Lots of wind out of the west and that generated an E-ticket ride. I ran into a guy that mentioned a friend that bought the same model Maule I have - an MX7-180C. He called his friend after we talked and it turns out I gave that friend a ride to Oshkosh in my Grumman in 1985! It is a small world.
Here's the final into Eastsound on Orcas.
