Blackrock,
I have been to shearer several times and have not seen that spot. Is that up stream or down stream from the strip?

Zane, when was the picture taken in front of Frank's Flight Service? Frank soloed me July of 96'. What a great guy!

Where was this taken? Husky pumps, looks like a Lynden Transport Truck in the background, landed on the highway? Is this Toad River?

'99/2000 maybe? Early 2000's. It was one of the Powers fly-in weekends.

That hangar is so iconic. I've never actually met Frank, but I used his bathroom in the shop. :) That's awesome that he soloed you. It sounds like our solos were very close in time... I was late '96 as well.

2010, the day I became an aircraft owner. I had no idea just how many amazing adventures and experiences I was going to have in the little drifter that could when I took this photo.

It is upstream from the strip. Go up the trail maybe 1/2 mile then cut over to the river. I think that was a fall trip so water was low and salmon were moving upstream. I put on a mask and snorkel and watched them resting in the deep pools and under rock shelf's. Pretty neat to see, but dang is that water ever cold!

I see you are in Butte. Love that town and still consider it home although I haven't lived there in many years.

Getting my tailwheel endorsement in the J3's at Hampton, NH (7B3) in 2001. My daughter in the baby carrier in the shade under the wing is 15 now.
