The 2016 T-shirts are available at the website. We've added long sleeves this year.

Pleased to announce that ProMark Aviation Services has stepped up again to sponsor our event.

Friday afternoon will be available for practice. And Sunday we plan a FlyOut to Lake Buchanan to the island strips we built.

More announcements to follow. Hope to see you there.

I hope I can make it down again, Phil.

Are there in trout down there that are willing to eat a fly?

The Guadalupe River just below Canyon Lake dam is the southern most tailwater trout fly-fishing in the U.S. The fish hold primarily along limestone ledges. It's not freestone Colorado, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Wyoming fly-fishing, but it contains a lot of holdovers, including some big fish, and they are introducing browns as well.

I came across some short video clips from the 2015 Texas STOL Roundup and decided to put together a compilation video.

A few event announcements.

Friday afternoon, wind permitting, we will have the pylons up and all are welcome to practice your STOL technique.

For those of you who have been here before we plan on moving the big tent down the line to show center, the area where some of the motorhomes parked.

Friday and Saturday night we will have a big bonfire in that area for all to enjoy, so bring your lazy chairs.

Saturday night we've booked a band, The Texas K.G.B. I heard them play a couple of days ago, they were great, and I knew they'd be a great addition to this year's event.

Oh, and we've got pink T-shirts this year as well, but currently you need to call to order them (trying to get that resolved), you'll find the phone number on our web site on the T-shirt page.

Re: 2016 Texas STOL Roundup Apr 22,23,24

We'd like to add yet another class of competition, Super Heavy Touring. We've got on Beaver on wheels ready to compete, we need another, or an Otter, or a Porter, or ?????. If anyone knows someone who flies any of these please pass the word along (and have them contact me so I can get trophies for the class).

Shortly we will have some exciting sponsors to announce, as well as aircraft bling.

Lowe's Market in Llano is donating a pallet of water so if you need to go to Llano for groceries please stop at their store. It's important we support companies that support us.

Top Secret (we are working on lining up a band for Friday night as well but I don't want to say anything till it's certain).

The City of Llano just let us know that they will provide a $100 of free Avgas to the pilot/plane who comes the furthest distance to this year’s Roundup.

In addition everyone will get a .15⍧ per gallon discount on Avgas during the event (they are already the cheapest fuel in the area).

Be sure and visit our Facebook page and thank the city of Llano.
