Be awesome Mike if you could make it down. At least it's downhill from you. ;-)

That would Indeed be awesome. Just checked it out on Foreflight with my PA-11 data. Looks like 18-24 hours from KBZN to KAQO depending upon wind. Sounds like a fun trip to me.

Re: 2016 Texas STOL Roundup Apr 22,23,24

We have a new sponsor for this year’s Roundup, Mid Continent Aviation Services.

http://www.midcontinentaviation.com

They are sponsoring Saturday Night’s band, The Texas K.G.B. so be sure and give them a big thanks when you see them.

And, they are bringing a Quest Kodiak... and will compete! So I am very excited to announce that the Texas STOL Roundup is bringing you another first, a Super Heavy Touring Class for the Broussard, DHC-2 Beaver, DHC-3 Otter, Quest Kodiak and other aircraft with a gross weight greater then 3,600 pounds. I don’t know about you but I am really looking forward to watching this class of aircraft compete.

Cool! STOL birds that can carry my wife's horse! She's gonna love that! It'll be great to see the Kodiak and DH's competing. This is growing into a full blown air show!

Re: AK Fishing Trip Give Away Texas STOL Roundup

Friend and fellow Alaskan/Texan Chip Ferguson (aka Renegade here), along with his wife Amanda, are the excited, new owners of the Alaska Rainbow Lodge. To celebrate and to help out the Texas STOL Roundup they have joined our list of sponsors and are giving away a 5 day fly out fishing trip worth $7,000 to some lucky pilot/aircraft or volunteer who attends our event on April 22,23,24 of this year (2016).

The lucky winner can take the trip either in 2016 or 2017. If they take it this year they can upgrade to a 7-day trip for $1,800. If they take it in 2017 they can upgrade to a 7-day trip for whatever the cost difference is at that time.

The winner will be expected to take care of their own airfare to and from King Salmon AK.

Their website is http://www.alaskarainbowlodge.com and their Facebook page is https://www.facebook.com/AlaskaRainbowLodge/.

When you see Chip & Amanda be sure and give them a huge thank you for supporting our event.

Re: Live Band for Friday & Saturday Night Texas STOL Roundup

Pleased to announce that in addition to the band The Texas K.G.B. playing on Saturday night, http://www.thetexaskgb.com,

we also have the band john Arthur martinez, http://www.johnarthurmartinez.net, who will be playing Friday night.

So after a day of practicing on Friday, and competition on Saturday, you can spend each evening sitting around a bon fire listening to great music. I’m not sure how it gets any better then this.

Re: $750 Giveaway Stene Aviation Texas STOL Roundup

ZZZ I would give anything to come but I have been pulled out of country for training for a month. I did everything I could to move schedules just to make it back in time. But these guys have had me booked every year and I only got to make the first round up. Maybe next year I can get them to train starting a week earlier. Truly will miss the event. Got my bird some new legs from seaplanes north and she is running top notch after a little work from Lycon. We need to do a fly in / long range shoot. I would be happy to donate the instruction for a chance to get to hang out with stol shooters. Ha

I was just teasing you Todd... It's good to be busy with the stuff that pays the bills! We definitely need to have a fly-in/shoot. It would be awesome!
