Yes, there is a skytrail flight tour of the Anza-Borrego State Park. It takes about an hour to fly the route and you will see features only available by air. The route starts at the Borrego Valley Airport (L08).

This tour was created by a ranger (Jon Meunch ) at the park who shared his love of flying by documenting the SkyTrail flight.

Check out Ocotillo Wells (L90) and Salton Sea (KSAS). For uncharted stuff, Amboy and Giant Rock aren't too far from there either. If you have foreflight you can download this and it has a few other options (including Amboy and Giant Rock):

Since you like challenging strips and landing on dirt:

Lake Wohlford Resort (8CL1) - Short runway on a mesa, 1300' long, shear drops on both ends.
Giant Rock - Park next to a rock that's bigger than a house.
Amboy - Get your Kicks on Route 66

Is Wohlford where the catfish dinners are?
