Not just a skiff, this picture was taken 3 hours ago and it's still accumulating, 6" so far. Image

Sitting here reading your post and this young teenager walked by. Boy I'm glad I live in Alaska where the morning temp is nice and the snow is gone. Not like the lower 48

Nope. Nor my float rating. I did fly up to Talkeetna, had lunch, then stopped in to see a friend who was stomped by a moose about a month ago, and I guess I was so enjoying socializing that I completely forgot to meet up with Don Lee (need to see if I can get in/out of his plane). So I apologized profusely  and plan on flying back up there this next week.

Man, that's one noisy coffee maker. I wouldn't want to pitch my tent next to yours when hoping for a quiet woodsy experience. That said, how was the coffee? On my airplane camping trips I take an Aeropress coffee maker. It is like a camper's version of a French press. A small propane burner heats the water with a barely noticeable hiss. I also heat some oat milk and froth is with a battery powered frother. Mix the hot coffee and the frothed milk and I have a latte to enjoy in my folding chair watching the world go by.
