Cold Springs Station has good food too. And a stop at the hotsprings at Smith Creek dry lake is always worthy!

The Austin Fly In is one I always missed being able to attend while I lived close by!!! :?

I pulled the trigger a few days ago and dropped a day of work with the idea of coming. It's the last weekend before school starts. I'm thinking one last summer outing!

Heck yeah! And what good people and place for a fly-in. Small group, fun, and rather relaxing. Work could still trip me up, but I'm doing everything possible to keep those days clear, too. :D

We got a whole beef to throw in the underground pit.. Should be yummy....!! Not sure how many are coming, but it don't matter, we'll have fun.. Even last year when we got rained out, an only had 4 planes, we fed about 170, locals etc...

Some one from Supercub orig. is saying Austin is off for this year-hope not as I'm planning on being there .Has anyone heard of this ?????

What is the trick getting there from the west? It's not clear to me if you can squeeze between the restricted areas just north of 50 or not. Looks like you can but gettingto old to play tag with F-18s, 5s or whatever, again! :-)
