Nice video!!!!!!! Flaming Gorge is as close as I've gotten to that area in a plane. Still remember in early 80's when I was driving a truck, Provo Pass was closed due to a land slide.

Great job! Those Bearhawks are good looking birds. Looking forward to the shakedown updates.

Encouraging to see these projects getting done. I'll go check out your build thread.

Congrats.

That course Tiger is designing looks like it’s going to be a great one. “Mountain golf” all the wind plus elevation. Show us your 400 yard downwind drive once open.

Wasn’t the US Open finish incredible to watch today? JJ!!

Oh yeah, great flying video. I flew Randy’s Companion a couple weeks ago. It took some getting used to.
A ton of rudder authority. I was all over the place. Putting rudder trim on my Patrol.

Glad you got to fly Randy’s Companion. Yeah the flying surfaces are so big that it takes very little input to get what you intend.

Agreed, the US Open was amazing.

I am posting YouTube videos fairly regularly. The link above as after re-rigging the ailerons to get rid of a slightly heavy right wing.

Here is a flight from last Wednesday, a long cross country by my standards
Hope you like it

Not a flying video, but a lot of people asked for a walkaround video so here it is. Couple of things I forgot to mention, 1267 empty weight, 2200 pound max gross and 55 gallons of gas

Here is a short clip of a trip we did into Idaho recently… Long version I of the trip still to come.  We were just dropping into McCall for fuel and visit with some friends

Re: Bearhawk Companion Takes Flight

I'm envious. She looks good.

For Youtube embeds, if you want the player to show up in your post, poach the unique video ID and stick it between the [youtube] BBcode tags.

Ex:

The link Youtube gives you: https://youtu.be/Bv2PNqWsPNc?si=zyN9rDSKUaWBOUqG

Copy the part between the slash and the question mark (Bv2PNqWsPNc), then paste into BBcode:

[youtube]Bv2PNqWsPNc[/youtube]

And the player will embed.

I realize it's a headache, that modern sites will automatically parse and show a preview, but this software is from an era where security meant just not allowing HTML at all.

Re: Bearhawk Companion Takes Flight

Beautiful bird and build Jay. Just curious about the color choice. Is it hard to pick up for other planes in flight? Not questioning or condemning your choice, just curious as I start thinking about paint choices for my bird.
