And motoadve's plane sits lower that yours. He would have to be real careful at my ranch. I flew with him in Costa Rica a few years ago and he is a really good pilot. He sets up his landing as good as any I have flown with and better than me.

Hi Larry,
We met briefly at the Concrete flyin this year,
and I remember you commenting on the "larger looking" tires on my 182. I am running Goodyears on mine. 8 x6.00's.
I can get you some actual measurements tomorrow if that helps....

Just got back from the hangar, here are some pictures. They measure 17 1 /2" "tall x 7 1/2" wide, at 21psi.
Hope this helps.

I have Air Trac 800x6 on my Bearhawk. It's up on blocks right now so there is no weight on the tires. They measure 18" tall and 7.5" wide. I don't recommend them but thought some might be interested in the dimension.

Airtracs is what I have now, they lasted 2 years, now are deformed, very bouncy, thanks for the measurements.
Thinking to go with Goodyears.

So bought the Airhawk 700 x 6 and fit my fork, Im glad I asked here.
Also bought Goodyears 800x6 , it just didnt look right with the 700 in the front , so bought Goodyears 850s.
Very happy with the result.

My 172 had the same fork with the 600x6 and 800 mains. I switched to 850 mains and it is much easier to touch down on the mains.
