Because Nevada is charging way too much and raising demands big time. Google it.

If your mind is open, the event is definitely worth a visit some time. If your mind is closed, and you have it in your head how others should live their lives it's probably best to stay away.

Exactly.

Speaking of having an open mind, nice assumption about those of us who aren't interested in Burning Man . . . .

I barely had to vacuum it out the last couple of times I went. One day with a dust storm was all it took to get it this dusty. I had to take the seats out to dump the dust off them. It was worse than the picture shows.
This will probably be my last trip in a plane to burning man until a new team runs the airport. The airport is no longer representative of the event and is now run primarily as a commercial portal. Don't let that discourage you from going if you are thinking about it. It's still an interesting week unlike anything you are likely to experience.

If you read "if you aren't interested in Burning Man, your mind is closed" in to my statement, you read it wrong. In no way is that what was articulated. The point is that if you have an idea in your head about how others should live, you probably will not have fun, because you are pretty much guaranteed to see people doing things that are not compliant with that idea.
