Burning Man 2022 is happening again after a two year hiatus. Who is planning on flying into 88NV?

Big changes this year including an operating control tower. Nearly all new management that wants the fun brought back to the airport. Simplified procedures for the non-commercial pilots.

Here is a reminder of what it could be like. https://youtu.be/Ysc3NIMoO7E I was caught taxing back from fuel in that. Went from not enough wind to fly a kite to zero vis and 35+ in seconds. One of those low wing planes in the video kept taxing blindly right into another plane.

Interesting to see the phenomenon, that’s pretty wild. This said, I’m with the fella above not my jam. But all the more power to those for whom it is, good seeing planes get used.

Wow crazy to watch. I have a hard time imagining anyone subjecting their airplane to that abuse intentionally. Whatever floats your boat I guess. I wouldn't imagine any flight schools would allow their amorous students to fly their rentals into that mess.

Holy cats! The rules are more complex than Airventure!

Nevertheless, I think I’ll grab my plastic suit with SCUBA gear, prep my plane for sandblasting, and jump in there….

When N678C is flying I’ll be giving events like this and High Sierra (Dead Cow) a big miss.

I've landed at 88NV, but not during the event. Crowds are not my thing, even though the artwork (both human and sculptural) is really interesting. A trip report if you make it would be interesting.
