You should take the drive down to Lee's Ferry...lotta history down there and some killer fishing too. Marble Canyon Lodge has good breakfast but Cliffdweller may have good viddles as well. You are one lucky dog.

Day 2. Drove from Sedona up to Jerome. What a cool town.



Then did uptown Sedona

Back to the airport to go north to Cave Dwellers Lodge.

1st stop Navajo Mountain

Nokai Dome was to windy to land so did a low pass

Bull Frog Basin

Cal Black for cheap mogas

Page AZ and Glen Canyon Dam

Marble Canyon, has vibs of days gone by




Tomorrow. Monument Valley, a stop in NM , Durango, Co. if the wx is acceptable.

Day 5 9-22-09
The plan. Hit 4 states and visit my BCP friends shortfielder and durangoskywagon in Durango, Colorado.
The route:


Monument Valley: nice strip, good food, supplies, ice, beer, etc.


Shiprock NM: no picture necessary.

Durango: Way cool town. Right up there with Jackson, Wy.

As you can see the wx was very nice.

Tomorrow stay in Durango again. Thursday Tangra-La, Friday Moab, Saturday morning breakfast at Leadville, Co. Dinner and camp at Mountain Shadows, Sunday morning Creede flyin. Sunday late morning head for home.

The route:

The Plan: Fly around durangoskywagons stomping grounds. Head up north by Telluride, fly some canyons and head back to Animas 00C

Also met Peter aka motorcitymaule at his pizza shop. He makes the biggest pizza's I have ever seen. He still has his Maule and is still flying. Just to busy to post here. Another wonderful day to be alive. Good friends, flying, food. The 3 F's
Tomorrow Caveman Ranch aka Tangri-La, Mineral Canyon. Will be camped at Caveman so no BCP for me tomorrow. I hope to meet hicountry there if Ernie can get around the wx.

Finally got out of SNY..in a rain shower. Flew SNY-CYS- over Buffalo Pass - SBS-CRG for a fuel stop. CRG-Grand Juction to Moab..Pretty rough from CRG SW to Moab. Waiting at CNY and will try Caveman where Rob is waiting when it settles down.
