One of the better articles that I have read on this subject is from Ernie R. Martin, the web administrator of SOPA, the Skymaster / Cessna 337 owners website, who ditched N924LA between the Bahamas and Florida.
It's the fourth item down in the "2021 Index" on the top left corner...

What an incredible story. Actually two good stories but the second one is amazing, the good decisions that the second pilot made were just amazing. I don't know if she had military training or is just a badass, but its inspiring.
