I like Hondas, had sport 55 through Honda 450 street bikes cb 750, 900 and 1100, and 700 water cooled. The Triumph BSA MG and Jag electric system lead me to become an electrical engineer. The Hondas were so far ahead of the other bikes electrically I rode more and fixed less. Would love to have a 305 cl for a day or 2.

Got MC licence in college, PPL about 4 years later. Rode a Vulcan while in Grad School. Haven't owned a street bike since. Did have a Honda CRF250R just recently. Bought it when my last 4 Wheeler crapped out on me. Was fast and fun to get around ranch country, but I wised up and bought another 4 Wheeler before I broke my neck.

Re: Do you have a motorcycle license? (please respond!)

It sure seems like almost all pilots ride, or did. I am bikeless for the first time in....40 years or so. When considered as transportation the season is so short, even shorter for me up on the mountain. My Toyota Yaris daily driver gets better mileage then my last beater '84 Goldwing, carries more, and has a better heater and sound system, though the Goldwing probably had better protection in a crash! Just kidding, It has lots of airbags I'm told, but really for me riding a road bike anyway was about being cheap and saving gas, and the little 40+ mpg cars that I can use year round won me over. I live too far out of town, if I lived in town I'd probably still ride again.

The same kind of kid that likes motorcycles like planes. I got my MC license at 15, PPL at 27. I rode street bikes for 35 years. Then as I was going down an expressway at 65 MPH a couple of years ago, I looked at the driver next to me, a teenage girl, and she was texting and kept texting for several miles. I decided that in the modern world you need steel and airbags around you on the road.

Buell my daily ride. RoadKing was so wife could ride along sometimes. Two wheels long before wings. Snow and ice is gone so will get both out of the hanger and on the road. My econobox car is better for my winter commute but two wheels (bicycle and motorcycle) do more work doing the summer.

I rode my '78 Honda 250 XL to the end of a gravel road to hand over the check for my '41 Taylorcraft BC-12D. "Top Gun" meets Bush Alaska!

At 15 Triumph Cub, Then a Tahatsu, BSA Lighting 650, Suzuki 250, Triumph 750 Bonneville. All before a M/C endorsement or M/C license were required(only drivers license or learners permit). In 1971,in my mid 20's, I gave up riding bikes for several reasons, one was to fly.

Had my first plane long before motorcycle. Now, I've got six. Two are inside the house. I participate in speed trials at El Mirage and Bonneville with one of them.

1960 Harley panhead, 1977-1990. Sportster for about half of 2003. Maybe another Harley (old flathead or knucklehead maybe?) if & when I ever have to give up aviation.

Re: Do you have a motorcycle license? (please respond!)

Thanks for all the great responses guys! I started riding my dad's old '84 Honda Interceptor VF700F when I was 16 (after years of racing mtbs) and have owned a CB550, XR650R, two Honda Hobbits, a KLR650, and a Yamaha TW200 in between that and the 1980 Honda Cub and 1994 Ducati 900SS I own now...

I love motorcycles, but I like planes more. I have 24 hours toward my Sport License (I know, I know) and look forward to flying lots this year.

I soloed a Piper PA 16 when I was 16 in 1972 but didn't care much about flying. Got a 1972 850 Moto Guzzi Eldorado to ride to school and sold it when I started farming. Then bought a 1973 750 BMW in early 80's but sold it after a few years and have no desire for another.

Re: Do you have a motorcycle license? (please respond!)

Started with a Lambretta 125 scooter. Then Honda 150 Dream(?) it was stolen, I was happy it was. Brand new '63 Honda 305 Super Hawk (loved it). While in the AF bought a BSA 650 Hornet street/scrambler. Had the best second gear I ever rode. Very quick in a sprint, but no top end. Like most Brit bikes, it refused to run if there was even a thought of rain. After RVN duty traded the BSA for a CB500, shoulda' got a 750, the 500 was a bit anemic. If I had kept one, it would have been the BSA, it sounded so good.
Nothing now, too much traffic in SF bay area, and they're all trying to kill you while on the cell phone.

Re: Do you have a motorcycle license? (please respond!)

I got my motorcycle endorsement the day I turned 21. Currently, I have an old Suzuki GS500E, but I don't ride it much. At least in Oregon I could ride in the rain (not fun, but still possible). Out here, there's no way you'll get me out until the possibility of ice is long gone. May sell the bike if I ever get enough cash together for an airplane...

I really enjoy rides out in remote areas, especially motorcycle camping. Gravel and dirt roads were not something this bike was designed to do, but that hasn't stopped me...

Re: Do you have a motorcycle license? (please respond!)

My first driver's license was restricted to "motorcycles only" for about 1 1/2 years until I learned how to drive a car. Don't currently own a bike but still have the license.
