I have flown with every dog I've had as an adult. Klink was half Newfie, half Lab. Osa, Kodiak, and Blue were all Newfies. Tagg and Maggie were Golden Retrievers and Molly is a Golden, all related. The only dog which LOVED to fly was Osa, and she really did. The rest tolerated it, mostly on the theory that they'd rather go flying than be left at home. Molly sometimes likes to fly; other times, she'd just as soon not. Both Maggie and Molly learned to tolerate Mutt Muffs, though Molly tends to knock them off accidentally by pushing her head between the seats and the Mutt Muffs down around her neck. On many flights they stay on all the way to touchdown.
Here's a good shot of Molly, on the way to Leadville, one of her "I want to fly" days:

Invest in a special sponge to clean off the dog hair from the upholstery--and even then, you won't get it all.
