Zane, I agree with you on the pines. Get rid of them!

Re: Fall Colors

As half-assed promised, here are several photos my photographer friend Mel took on our flight around the Lake Placid area a few weeks ago. These are the low-res version, but still came through pretty nice.

Beautiful! Cool to see the lake placid Ski jumps. Hard to believe the Olympics there was 40 years ago.

Brainard Lakes area. Tourist meca in central Minnesota. Floatplane paradise, fiahing, lodges, resorts, and big city people that take over during the summer. ;)

BLA, what Keith said…

(I think our 4 lanes are quickly becoming freeways with the amount of traffic moving in from the cities. Going to have to start referring to them as “the” 371 and “the” 210 ha ha!)

A bit late to this thread, took these photos earlier this month after getting the plane polished. Pretty new to the forum, love it!

Hunter camps in Robinson Canyon. I don't hunt any more but like to walk up here and talk to the hunters. They come from all over Washington state.

From my back yard. The transition from fall to winter. The leaves are just about done and Mount Stuart has a fresh coat of snow.

In 2011, the Hampton Lumber Company in Polk County Oregon planted larch trees after harvesting a section of their commercial forest. This is what it looks like today in the fall:

LOL...my mistake. I saw that pic and for some reason thought Pete posted it. I was seriously impressed with NY state topography.
