Foreflight/Boeing buys BCP… Congrats Zane!!

I’m not sure how it’s gonna shake out, but sounds like pretty exciting news. Big congrats to Zane for the last year and all the hard work.
I just read the press release this morning… looks like a ForeFlight, and by extension Boeing have purchased Backcountry Pilot.
Sounds like there’s some pretty cool things coming down the pike, including integration into the ForeFlight software. I hope things don’t change too much, but it’ll be really cool to see what’s in store in the next 12 months.
Congratulations Zane!

That's Awesome!! Now Zzzz can spread the wealth from the millions he got from the sale! I hear he ordered a Kodiak on Amphibs to keep at his new home on the lake. Soon, he'll forget all about us low lifes!

Still can't believe it. I've mostly been shopping for Crocs since we closed.

I’m preparing a big Bill for all my awesome content. Talking to Cub dealers at the same time.

I'm building a claim application for anyone who ever posted a good TR to get their slice of the pie. Current disbursements look to be in the $0.27-0.33 range.

One centi-croc per page does seem fair.

Dang it. Now that Boeings name is on the website we'll start getting all these high fliers coming on here and telling us we are all crazy and doing it wrong!
Better have been a big number Zzzz. [emoji12]

Besides providing Zane with enough cash to buy a pair of Crocs in every color, this deal just makes so much sense for Boeing given their long and storied history in backcountry aviation. Seems like Johnson Creek isn't out of the question for a 737

Congrats on the sale
Hopefully the site doesn’t change too much.

The higher-ups seemed to indicate it would be integrated into Foreflight and the regular version of the site going away. It will be available with the standard subscription.

I guess I can stop supporting the site if it’s got a deep-pocket acquisition!
