Re: Help me pick a place to live

Have you found a place to live? If not, you might want to include these two airparks - Mid Valley (E98) just south of Albuquerque and Mogollon (AZ82) near Show Low, Arizona. We have lived at Mid Valley Airpark for the past 34 years and keep our airplanes right next to us. My husband Mike is a skier and has spent many years skiing at Taos and Wolf Creek. We keep an old airport car at either Taos or Pagosa and he flies there for a day trip. Both airports would be very fast trip for a Bonanza. Mid Valley has fiber optic cable, 50 bucks a month 100mbps or 100 bucks for 1 Gbps. I telecommuted to my work this past year with very few problems. Go to midvalleyairpark.com to learn more.

We have considered Mogollon as a summer place. It is close to a ski resort in the White Mountains, Sunrise.

Both airparks are near lots of hiking and biking opportunities too.

The only problem right now may be a lack of inventory due to the hot housing market.

Best of luck.

More good stuff about Mid Valley Airpark. Close to Albuquerque (30 miles on I-25), we have two Walmarts within 3 or 4 miles of the Airpark, we live in the country with much rural property around us, elevation 4830 feet, great community of Mid Valley neighbors and folks to fly with, not far from the Gila National forest for numerous back country flying airstrips, a couple of friendly private airstrips near national forests and an active pilot community - see New Mexico Pilots Association at nmpilots.org.

Cody, Wyoming is a pretty good consideration. Lots of new hangars being built at Cody airport.

Great schools for your kids and every outdoor activities you can think of.

Airline service at Cody and Billings, Montana is only about a 1.5 hour drive.
