How many hours did you fly in 2016? (Poll)

As we wrap up the end of 2016, how many hours did you fly? Please keep it to general aviation aircraft, not commercial airline or military jobs.

Not the best year for me at sub 50 hours, but I made up for it with some good flights the last few months.

Here's to more hours logged in 2017!

Amen Matt. With yesterday's flight, I'm at 92 hours. Less than the last few years but I'm just glad to have a plane to fly. And I guess not too bad considering I was planeless for a month and a half.

I managed about 60 hours in the J-3 and have put 34 hours on the 180 since buying it in September, so I'm at about 94 for the year. I hope to log more than 100 next year, and a few longer trips in the 180 should help with that! Looking forward to meeting more of you out there in the backcountry in 2017!

Bad year for me. With 3 family deaths/funerals and my B-I-L passing away two days ago, sure makes for a depressing year.
M-I-L in the hospital twice for heat problems, once when I was preparing to fly out to meet Zane for his MN video extravaganza. Then I fell and hurt myself pretty bad (on going back issue) where I am still not recovered, put a major damper on my flying activities! Not home presently to check my logs but I am guessing less than 20 hr give or take a few.

205 hrs, 190 flights. Lots of quick after work fun flights this year mixed in with the longer trips and weekend adventures. Pokey Joe probably logged close to 100 hrs co-pilot.

I'd rather boast about how many diapers I changed, because I didn't even break 20 hours PIC this year.

About 330 as well. Should log hour 800 TT today. Almost entirely from the seat of the 120. Slow airplanes...the hours add up quicker I guess.

About 45 between the PA 12 and the 180 just cruising around pretty local. Also, a little more than an hour in the 180 on floats up at Surfside for my biennial review.

Pretty good year with a little over 200 in the 180 and about 60 in the S7

Best aviation year in a long time for me. I earned my instrument and commercial ratings. Made three laps around the country, a six week tour around Alaska and Western Canada, sprinkled with lots of little trips and simulated instrument flying. I'm around 250 hours for the year. I'm hoping to break 300 in 2017.

I logged 120 hours this year, for some reason it feels like a lot less. Hopefully more flying in 2017!

Not enough, busy with a growing family. Luckily all my 2 1/2 year old boy, all he talks about now is flying. 2017 looks to be a better year for flying.

Re: How many hours did you fly in 2016? (Poll)

Am I the only one who doesn't add up their hours? A few years ago when I quit trying to fly for hire and my insurance rates were as low as they were going to get, I just quit totaling the time. A couple times a year I bring the gps home and record the data, but that's pretty much it. I'd guess somewhere between 100~150 hours last year, but I really don't know.

I get behind on my logs occasionally, but I enjoy sitting down, recalling my flights then adding them up. At under 2000 hours, I'm not yet the "I quit counting guy". May never be that guy.

Pushing 60 hours this year, but had planned for more. 75 at a minimum next year is the goal!!

I've never become that guy. Most the guys I fly with don't log anymore, but with digital logbooks that constantly keep all the stats updated, it's too easy not to do it. I do miss the paper logs that are more personal. I just don't miss all the data entry...especially when I'd get months behind!

Super low private flying this year due to a ton of work flying and travel. ~65 hours. Hopefully next year logs more fun flights for me!

Big fat 0 for me this year. Moved cross country mid-2015 and didn't take my plane. The good news is that I get to start flying again next month when I move.
