Look out rabbit hole here I come
What you doing with your old 300? Does it already have an X on the serial # for the OM?Mapleflt wrote:With sincere apologizes to Aryana, hope he'll still chat with me I pulled the trigger on an 0-360 today that was just to good of a offer to turn down. The Conti is still my first internal combustion love affair but at 50 lbs. lighter for similar HP its hard to mount a serious argument against the Lycoming.

Very nice! Well, I'm on the hunt for a decent 0-300. Top is easy for me, so dibs on yours if you are going to sell it! Hoping the X got missed... haha.Mapleflt wrote:In all honesty I'd have to go and look, that's a bit embarrassing to admit. I'll be at the hanger tomorrow and will take a picture. I was facing a full top overhaul, exhaust work etc. so it just made sense to do the change. It all happen very quickly, the 0-360 has offered to me today at a very appealing price with only 450 on it since a full shop overhaul. Its has all the accessories included with it other than an exhaust but I would have needed that anyway.

Do you have a prop figures out already Bryce? If not I'd highly recommend the Whirlwind GA. Very nice, light, and efficient.Mapleflt wrote:The OM category has limits and of them is no CS, FP only
Yes. The rule specifies "in flight adjustable" for what is not allowed. So depending how loosely you want to read that, having an electric adjustable prop that is placarded for "ground use only" could technically be legal.Pinecone wrote:Is ground adjustable legal for owner maintenance?
