Central WA: About 20 degrees. I have a BUNCH of snow to move, and I had to take my Toro Snowblower to the Re-pair shop. Something about parts they don't carry being all worn out means it will take a week or so. In the mean time the BUNCH of snow will be tackled by this old fat fart with a shovel.
So maybe I appreciated your PHX weather report and your care free gad-abouting travels a little less this morning  than before?

Rob, maybe this make you appreciate where you are a little more?

Humor may not make the world go around, but it certainly cheers up the process... :)
With clothing, the opposite of NOMEX is polypro (polypropylene cloth and fleece).

Hey Rob
Don't know what ya have in mind for tomorrow, but I was thinkin if ya wanna kinda continue what we started yesterday we could mmet over at Payson for b'fast, then head east to Cebecue, drop into the Salt which has some nice scenery, hit Gleason Flats, on up to the Bouquet Ranch on Roosevelt. I left a mesage with Lizard incase he wanted to join in, and he would probly have lots of good ideas. Sounds like Rich has some too.
So, just some thoughts.

I got rid of the whip. It is the 'enlightened' thing to do when the skinny end was what I knew best....

Another great day of flying in Arizona. Met guys I have traded post with for years. That was fun. Had breakfast at Payson with shortfielder, Kent the lurker, hafast and his son, lizard, Craig and Vicky. Kent and Craig invited us to come see their dirt strips.

Kent on his Super Cub he bought from another BCP guy.
Thank you for breakfast Kent. Kent picked up the tab for us all. Sweet!

After breakfast and gas we headed into the mountains.

Looks like we got us a convoy.

This strip was narrow. If you get off the side you will be fixing a flat. It was also shaped like a half pipe.

Craig and Vicky's little shack in the desert. Hey Craig and Vicky, thank you for your hospitality at your wonderful home!

Wheels up 8AM back to the NW. Looks like a good day, with some wind in the Owens Valley to Reno. That will slow me some. I enjoyed hanging with you too Russ.
