Kids & Planes picture thread

I have noticed on the forum a lot of new additions to the aviation community recently, my congratulations to all those new parents. While I haven't flown since 1982, I have no pictures to add to this topic. Looked all over for the pictures I took of my 8 year old nephew at the yoke of a 150, and can't find them. However he is now in his 40's and living at Donner Lake, CA with his wife and two sons. Before his boys were born I visited in my 1923 Track-T and his wife had two of her nieces visiting, so I'll post that picture as a idea of this thread's trajectory. Just substitute a plane in place of the T for your shared pictures.

Yes, I hope this becomes one of those "isn't that adorable" kind of thread.

I'm due for some updated pics, but here are a few of my favorites from the last couple of years.

I didn't expect such a quick reply to this new thread, those pictures definitely define the "adorable" slant for the thread. Great shots of future pilots. I really liked the wing walker (well wing sitting) picture.

Re: Kids & Planes picture thread

This is my fave so far, my Granddaughter Caylee on her first airplane ride, on her 5th birthday last September. She loved it, and flew the airplane quite well, considering that she couldn't see over the panel--just looked out her side window, and followed my instructions. She's told me several times that she wants to go up again.

Image

In contrast, her older brother Levi turned somewhat green on his first flight 3 years ago this coming July, and riding in the back on Caylee's flight, turned green again. I won't embarrass him with his picture, because the green tint is palpable.

This is my daughters normal status in the plane, it's just a cramped faster mode of travel to her..

Your right, that picture is a keeper. Too bad about Levi, I guess girls are tougher.

While I have taken my Wife and Daughter flying these were taken last week during my first flight alone with my daughter. It was a very special time!

Certainly some great photos here. I like to see how family encouraging the culture is here.

A thought just crossed my mind. Considering how strong and vibrant this forum is, and Zane is fairly young, I see many future decades of BCP and the kids posted on this thread will keep the thread going with their kids.

Long live the BCP forum.

And as soon as Zane's little girl gets old enough, he had better start instructing her in the art of web design and upkeep! [emoji1]

Haven't had my daughter up for a while, so no recent pics. But she did help me change out to some new 8.50s the other day. She loves helping me fix things.

Got my plane together finally and got to take the family up. We all like flying, thankfully.

Re: Kids & Planes picture thread

David,

Great pic, you'll cherish that in years to come. I spent half the day today taking flying lessons and the other half driving my kids back and forth to their jobs. It happens fast, I warn you. The kids, that is, not the training;-)
