What would be harder, facing the embarrassment or your insurance agent? Could have been way worse.

Ripping the nose gear off of a 207 in the water and staying alive, much less dry seems like a pretty fortunate outcome.

Distracted! That's his story and he's sticking to it.

I wonder if he was trying to see if water skiing a tricycle would work. If anyone actually knows this guy we need to know the real scoop. Post under stupid things my buddy did!

Let's see . . . A river near Kotlik. Could it be the Yukon?

The plane belongs to Grant, so the difficult conversation will be with the CP and the FAA, not the insurance company. They also had a 207 land off airport last Saturday, and the pilot didn't get picked up (he survived) until Sunday afternoon due to inclement wx. I'll bet it was a chilly evening!

Crashing on waterskis at 50 mph is a lot like crashing onto a concrete slab--not for those who are faint of heart or unskilled. Truly crazy.

To lose a tailwheel is inconvienent, to lose a nosewheel is a wreck.
