I am glad to hear the Young Eagles flights sparked the love of flying for you. As a young man I had the opportunity to go up with a local pilot when we had the opportunity to do a week long mini-aviation course for a week when I was in High School. It made all the difference for me.

I'm working on my private license here in Canada and I'm doing all my training in a Citabria. I was told the taildragger experience would help with float flying and make me a better pilot. I have a farm on the Fraser River and I'm hoping to get into float flying with a plane based on my farm. So I'm working on my license and looking for a plane for my family of 5 so we can all explore BC's wilderness eventually. I'm sure I'll come up with lots of newbie questions.

Welcome here! Where on the Fraser is your farm. Just flew up the Fraser about this time last year ferrying a 150. I'd like to take my wife down it in the 180 this summer sometime. Itd be great to meet some people along the way.
