Boom, two posts in one day!

I also posted on @bigrenna’s thread about “I don’t have anything to contribute”

Previously flew a Rans S-20, Rans S-21 and building a Bearhawk Companion now.

New member here…. with a new (to me) airplane. I’m the new owner of a 1956 Cessna 170B!

I’m hoping to learn a lot from y’all, and maybe meet a few of you as I eventually start getting out to events and some back country destinations.

Fly down my way. I’m at Cable Airport. I’ve got property at 6CA5 in Johnson Valley 1/2 hour away. We’ve got dry lake beds and such in the area to get you going on your way.

I was just at Cable last weekend! Stopped by and met Ryan (I believe that’s his name), whose family owns the airport. I’m on the waiting list for a hangar there, but plan to keep it at nearby Brackett Field in the meantime.

I will definitely take you up on your offer! I should be back home with my 170B around mid March. I’ll send you my contact info via PM.

May I make a suggestion? Rent a shade hangar space at Cable until you get the call for a hangar. That should move you up the list. It took me a year to get one. It’s about 2 years now from what I understand. If you have a presence on the airport it helps.

Re: Lurkers - 2023... Its your time

Hey all,

Been lurking for a a few years and love all this site has to offer. This thread inspired me to post and introduce my self. Looking forward to contributing more to the site and more importantly learning all that I can from all the experience that this site has to offer!

My name is Adam and I fly a “super” Pacer out of a private grass strip called Fairways just to the north of Mulino State (4S9) in the Portland area.

I am always looking for people to fly with that like to avoid pavement. I have been flying in the backcountry with my Dad my whole life and looking to meet some new folks here and around the PNW that enjoy backcountry aviation as much as I do!

Let’s go fly!

Here’s a few pics of the birds!

Welcome. I ran Colt, PA-22 135s, and 150s for a while out of Gallup, NM and loved them.
