  • Sorry the 8th Annual Bacon Strip Fly-In / Campout is on the same weekend as the Hi-Sierra Fly In. That was not intentional, but the BSR Fly-In has historically been on the second weekend of Oct. If anyone wants to fly in on the way to the Hi-Sierra Fly-In, please do as people will be there beginning Friday AM.

    Charlie Weather is looking good so far for the upcoming BSR Fly-In. DO wear your most obnoxious Hawaiian shirt for the Saturday night contest. Winner gets a $100.00 Aircraft Spruce gift card.
    Also new this year is the debut of the new 'Johnny B's ' bar! Be sure to sign your name on the bar top for prosperity.
    Awards to be given out around 5:00 PM Saturday. Best airplane, Best Aero Camp and Longest Distance Flown.

  • I was just out camping at the Bacon Strip last weekend and everything looked in great shape!
    If you fly in, make sure you check out the newly added "Desert Marlin" that sits above the granite dedication plaque, inside the steel shade shelter.

    Today John Bacon updated his facebook page and talks about the Oct. Fly-In.
