This looks like a happy place. Is the cabin on that thing heated?
More of a giggly place...I'm sure there are conditions that will stop it, but I haven't found them yet. Five feet of powder so dry you couldn't make a snowball with a hydraulic ram? It pushes right through, mile after mile. Today I was pushing a six foot berm of water-soaked snow in front of me and it still never lost traction.
And ya, the cab is heated, and then some. I wouldn't think a little engine like that would put out much heat, but it's a blowtorch on high.
It's surprisingly loud though. Lots of transmission noise, and in snow you have to move the air intakes into the cab, which make a lot of noise. I ordered a aviation intercom with music input yesterday. We'll plug in a couple headsets and a ipod and rock out to the Hillbilly Bugger Boys, which later turned into the Rolling Stones, which is when they lost their grove.
There's a couple feet of snow under the tracks here, and I'm just backtracking what I ran up earlier...
