Mud boggin'
Information and discussion about seaplanes, float planes, and water operations.
Found this 10y old vid of a Beaver playing swamp buggy. Interesting. One of the pax must have had to poop really bad.

Half a century spent proving “it is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”
Oh SH!T! Well, guess I may as well say...been there...done that. Not in a heavy Beaver though. Luckily in a lighter weight Champ. Exited the plane and got a bit of weight out to get it off the buried muck. I was waist deep in the crap. Ahhh, the memories. LOL

Is that Sausalito in the video?
Personally i would hate having to deal with tides and mud. *shivers*

Based on the grooved tracks in the mud this is a pretty common occurrence. Maybe it's time to dig a channel to the dock, or extend the dock to the low water level...

Yes, that is the seaplane base in Sausalito. That was standard for operating out of there when I did it about 15 years ago, pretty fun. Once you selected a set of ruts you were just along for the ride!
