Sitting in Nvflyers hanger drinking frosty treats with 260driver and others. Don't be a stranger the hanger is easy to find! Look at the Brietling tent and do a 180 and walk 50 yards...door is open with a green and white supercub!

Thursday will be a great day as will the rest...

BBQ here at the hanger Saturday afternoon. Looking forward to seeing you

Re: Official Reno Air Race Thread 2012

Does anybody know if they enforce the pit pass check after the races? Don't want to buy a pit pass for kids and wife if don't have to. We would be interested in participating in the Saturday night BBQ. Let us know if we can bring something or if we can pay for some of the food.

Thanks,

Don G.

Re: Official Reno Air Race Thread 2012

Don- you can access the pits after 5 is USUALLY no problem... No promises...I would say however, spending your entire day in the pits is worth every penny!!! it's where all the action is and then some. The hanger we have is a great spot to relax throughout the day and regroup every couple hours.

You can see location of hanger above

Just had a few BCPers over for dinner and tequilla....

Back to the races in the am... Hope to see you

Favored to win I here.

I bought a ticket to the Chairman's tent before I knew how good Dave would take care of us. They really wine and dine us in that tent I'll tell you.

Met Bruce and saw his 170, WOW!! what a plane. Just add 29s ha ha

Hung with Ranchaero for awhile. Scott see you tomorrow. Get a Pit Pass!!

Went to the Santa Fe for dinner with John, Dave, Mike and me. Superb food! and great stories.

Dave AKA NVflyer has open his hangar to us. Completly stocked with everything you need. Dave even had a lady friend stop by. A real beauty, jaw dropper. THANKS DAVE! see ya later today.

Cheers...Rob

That 170 was parked next to mine when I got to OSH in 2010. WOW.

I will never own an airplane that clean. Not for more than 15 minutes anyway.

Re: Official Reno Air Race Thread 2012 - PHOTOS

robw56 that 170 belongs to BCP's own Rhymes. Funny, he said that sometimes he wishes he had a more backcountry equipped plane.
Maybe the answer is the guy ATK and I met yesterday who has a hangar full of planes- one for each occasion!
Avid you will think you died and went to heaven.
Great to hang out with you 260 Maule.

Re: Official Reno Air Race Thread 2012 - PHOTOS

Cant believe I missed today but ended up burning my own gas...

Will be there early with Avid Flyer.

Just a reminder for all BCPers...we are having a BBQ (hosted..just show up) at Dave's hanger late afternoon, just after the last race from the Unlimited...heard that Strega went 498mph today!

So far we have seen, OregonMaule, Dlhanst, 260driver, Rhymes, NvFlyer, Chance, who am I missing??

Tomorrow should be a good day!
