Been wondering how much forward sudden pitching moment you get when dipping those wheels a bit too agressively into the water. Drag has a way of suddenly increasing until it gets your attention. Glad he walked...

Flying is dangerous. If you think otherwise, you are new at this sport. Mind the gravity not the gap.

Re: Oops PA-18 stubs it's toes Columbia River

If it can happen to Lonie I aint even gonna think about it.

Highly skilled guys working close to the edge. Sometimes over the edge. Showing off does not always pay off. Glad he is OK.

I like how the sheriff made it sound like it was no big deal, "happens a few times a year." Good to hear law enforcement play it down.

What the hell is your point, Wilson?
This is what i found:

And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. —Mark 16:17-18

Hep me out here! :)

Re: Oops PA-18 stubs it's toes Columbia River

My point, Sudeith, was not in quoting the scripture but in the similarity of water skiing an airplane and handling posionous snakes. Could be a relationship between those that pursue either or both of these activities. Perhaps I was a little too vague for some in trying to connect the dots. Hope to hell you can now figure it out.

Oh no, I made the connection, either one can bite ya! And most likley be viewed as 'foolish' by the other. Unless you try & mix the two.. http://www.avweb.com/avwebflash/news/pi ... 485-1.html

Along with all the "Meat and Potatoes" of back country flying, comes an occasional serving of "Humble Pie".

We've "All" had our occasional Slices one way or the other.

Yea foolish. Like those people who jump off of cliffs with parachutes or skii down steep mountains or swim in the ocean or drive fast cars or play footbal or own pitbulls. Those people are dumb. It's probably not even fun.

Hold my beer and watch this. Good thing I didn't have a plane when I was in my 20s-30s that would be me.

I don't have much desire to see my plane bent. Call me a wuss, I just don't care.

When I see the great sticks who have wrecked I know it can happen to any one of us.

If you guys want to connect the dots. How about the CUBDRIVER 749ER? Wasn't he the pilot with Shaun Lunt?

I throw no stones because of living in a glass house and recently seen a close up of the greasy side of the Citrabria.

I would like to get some dual with Loni, if he is in the Portland area.

Yes, it's the same Loni that was with Shaun Lunt.

OK, thanks. I get the dots now.
I think you should come back to civilization so you can talk like the rest of us. (no dots)
