You're never too old to learn something stupid.

Re: Photo thread: Show Us Your Plane!

Skypony's X-air. It's paid for and I can afford to fly it 2-3 times a week.

What it did look like. She is getting new paint on the rudder as we speak. I never did like that black vertical line.

An opportunity to show you folks my bird? Sure! This was on the way back from Oshkosh in 2007. There sure are some nice photos and nice airplanes in this thread ...

Nice classic 180 paint scheme. A friend of mine just redid his with the same original look in black and red on white. His masking work was pretty impressive to watch.

^^^ That angle of the the air-to-air shot also conjures up the classic Cessna advertising photos.

A 170, but you get my drift:

I am one of those lucky souls that gets to fly toys that belong to other people...I treat them like my own and always try to return them in better shape then when I pulled them out of the hangar. Did I mention that I love my job.

The Maule...my most frequent ride...

Image

"Kaydet Kate"...my summertime date...

Image

The Centurion...the family SUV

Image

"Frostbite"...the gas saver...LOL

If you want to go up, pull back on the controls. If you want to go down, pull back farther.

I was going to have my own airshow act but the FAA wouldn't let my 3-year-old do any strut walking. Next they'll tell me he can't clear airliners to takeoff from JFK.
