For bush flying Aztec wins by much over a Seneca.

Also for bad WX, Aztec more solid.

Shrike is an eagle, flies gorgeous and a rock solid bird but a little underpowered. Will need more runway, careful on that.

My first job after obtaining a CPL was flying a 23-150 (that I nicknamed "Peaches") in Alaska. The longest leg was nearly 250 miles, mostly over frigid water, boy those Edos would have been welcome.

Fast forward thirty years I saw one for sale, very nice-- but there wasn't any way that I could justify the expense.

Alaska.... got to go there some time. It all looks so gorgeous!

This is the Aztec I flew 10 years doing some extra bucks from my full time job.
Flew mainly to short dirt strips. Sure a great aircraft for that.

Managed to do a team of 5 Aztecs and perform airshows. Smoke on the engines, yeah!!

Our solo did a T/O roll from our home town 5000 feet Elev airport.
Gained altitude and performed some aerobatics to finish part of them with one engine feathered.

We as wings in the formation managed to do an outside roll finishing it slowly back to position.

Man did we have good times.
