I bought a set of L19 tow lugs with the idea of installing them for use as as jack points,
they were plenty stout enough for towing but they seemed a bit scrawny for jacking.
Not sure if they'd hang in there holding the weight of the airplane without bending.
I never installed the tow lugs I bought, but here's a photo of a set on another C180.
I measured mine-- they're approx. 2-1/8" wide & about .167" thick.
They're plenty stout enough for towing purposes,
but considering the size of the hole in them, and probable jack placement,
there's not a whole lot of material where the bending moment would happen when used for jacking.
So I decided to stick with the hoisting method.
