Re: Reno Air Races

It's been lots of years since I went to the Air Races. I'd like to do it again, but this year is out, as is other flying stuff until I get my medical back--which looks like maybe mid-October. So have fun, folks! Maybe next year.

It is better to be late in this world, than early in the next.

Re: Reno Air Races

Not sure what's better. A nap in the shade at the races or getting woke up by 4 F18s shaking the hangar.

Re: Reno Air Races

So for all you helmet-wearing guys, what was Thom Richard wearing for the buzz cut? And why the oxygen masks?

Re: Reno Air Races

Thom custom made his own carbon lid with only a layer of neoprene inside and out. Some where on youtube is a vid of his brain melting when the resin kicks off. Very tight fit in hot stuff. Mask for fresh air. From out side the prop arc incase of smoke or fumes.

And it was great meeting you CFOT, as well as Contact. I would've hung out and listened to stories for at least another hour if mini-me could've handled it, same with Jeremy

I could listen to Jeremy stories all day, especially when they start leaning toward relieving one's self in the cockpit over the Irish Sea.
