Seaplanes on Tahoe on TV!

Hi All,

Just received notice that the PBS Las Vegas TV show “Outdoor Nevada” episode featuring Rob Lober and me flying our seaplanes on Lake Tahoe will air Wednesday, May 10 on PBS in Las Vegas. Not sure when it will air on Reno PBS, but check the following Saturday, May 13. For those of you outside their viewing area, check the website shortly after it airs. Full shows are available to stream. http://www.vegaspbs.org/outdoor-nevada/

It’s only a six or seven minute segment, but it took them half a day to film last October. They interviewed Rob extensively on the beach, and he did a great job as Seaplane Pilots Association Field Director, as a pilot, and just as a sincere outdoor enthusiast! I just flew my 182, carrying the host and cameraman, and had a couple of lines that probably landed on the cutting room floor!

We actually started on the California side, at Sugar Pine Point beach, then flew over to the Nevada side at Secret Harbor beach. I think they got some nice air to air shots of Rob’s Sea Rey, and vice versa.

Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m.
Vegas PBS’ Outdoor Nevada is bringing back the popular local production that originally aired from 1995 to 1999.
Hosted by highly regarded television host and actor John Burke, Outdoor Nevada will delve into the Silver State’s natural history and present-day happenings as experts discuss awe-inspiring discoveries in one of the planet’s most unique and often extreme environments.
For the first run of the series, Vegas PBS will develop 26 half-hour episodes comprised of four segments each. The program is scheduled to broadcast Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m. with repeat airings on Saturdays at 4 p.m. and Sundays at 11 a.m.

This show aired in Las Vegas last week and is now available to stream online. The seaplane segment is last. The earlier segments are interesting and have me interested in flying in to visit those areas of Nevada.

Fascinating video! Since my times in Nevada have been relatively few, I didn't realize how interesting the state is.
