Never thought to myself that could happen.

Re: Snowed in Baja, Mexico

Yeah, amazing, right? I was very surprised a while back to learn that there are snow covered (or perhaps, snow dusted) mountains way further south than that even, near Mexico City.

In April or May of 1995 I was in Tecate and it was crazy weather, very cold (compared to what we expected) and we got snowed on good.

It takes a big man to cry. But it takes a bigger man to laugh at that man.

I was down there, just got back. I was in Sonora by Soyopa. It was Bad a$$ cold, no snow there but penetrating rain.

Re: Snowed in Baja, Mexico

The really sad thing is that there are many, many very poor people down there (essentially in the colonias of Tijuana) whose homes are little more than cardboard clad hovels with no heat. It's uncomfortably hot and dusty in the summer. They must be very miserable when the weather turns that cold.
