Most agencies (other than AOPA) will bring you multiple quotes...the companies currently being the most competitve are Chartis, Global, Phoenix, and Starr with USAIG playing ball on accasion for the accounts with high time pilots and / or low risk aircraft. There are other companies as well but these have been the most competitive as of lately

Without knowing your risk it is hard to say, but you mentioned crossing the 100 hour mark. Although this is an unwritten benchmark it does play into the quotes fairly routinely. If you crossed the 100 hour PIC mark or the 100 hour TW mark then it could definately have been a contributing factor to the lower premium along with the current market trend.
By the way I spelled Cream of the Crap intentionally just to give you hard time. However, I do mispell quite frenquently on this board in my haste to post and I dont hold it against others who do the same...too bad there is not a spellcheck.
