Re: The new guy at Beluga Air

Congratulations!

Two of the best days of my life were when my kids were born.

Floats in 2034? Sounds like we are on a similar training schedule.

Congrats, Wes! Here's to many sleepless nights for the next few weeks, and then to similarly sleepless nights in about 15 years! :)

Re: The new guy at Beluga Air

yeah, we have started ground school already, the FARs. Might as well start with the boring stuff, it helps him go to sleep. Won't start flight training til the end of the month when we fly to Anchorage for the trade show. I am a little wary, the Beaver has a throw over yoke, he can't really hold his head up right now, and, has a slight problem with narcolepsy especially after feeding. Going to the rifle range this weekend, wife thinks the .308 is a little big for him, but figure I will start him out at fifty yards so he doesn't get discouraged. Some may think that 50 yards is a little sissy-ish but the fact is he can't focus his eyes past 18 inches so even with a 10x scope he will be lucky to get a half inch group.

Trying to raise the perfect Alaskan kid here.

Re: The new guy at Beluga Air

Watch out!

He might put you out of a job!!!

He is already better looking than you.
And if he gets trained up....

You will have to get yourself a set of blue short sleeved overalls with the belt and sit by the coffee machine telling stories!

LOL... Traditional old man uniform. Khaki works just as well, sort of a "Higgins" vibe.

I need five stripes on my epalettes (cause five is better than four), an american flag patch and the AOPA wings over the left pocket, and I am golden, just ordered it from Sporty's

They had it on special at SNF yesterday. I could have picked one up for you.
