Today I woke up an owner
Owning an aircraft has many special considerations like financing, taxes, inspections, registration, and even partnerships. You can post questions on buying and selling procedure. Please post type-specific questions and topics in the
Types forum.

Yesterday my biggest dreams came to be reality. I'm now sole owner of a 53 C170B. She is in great shape, and I couldn't be happier with her. I had never flown a 170 until after we bought this one. I had at times doubted my decision to seek a 170 simply because good ones are hard to find and acquire. The search was exhausting and almost never ending. After having about 8 hours in her between checkout and trip home. I couldn't be more satisfied with everything. It is a wonderful aircraft, and everything we had hoped it would be. I'm looking forward to thousands of hours perfecting my new found love and skill set.
Not to mention all the new destinations that just opened up.

Congrats! 170's are great airplanes, I owned a ragwing for 10 or 12 years and had lots of fun with her.

Cessna Skywagon -- accept no substitute!
Congratulations! Owning an airplane is the best way to be perpetually happy and broke. Smiles come pretty easily when you are plane poor.

I own Scolopax's old plane and I can tell you that you will enjoy your choice. Sold my old plane that burned 16 gallons per hour, empty or full gear. I now get great mileage at slower speeds, but flying in Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana I do not need speed as much a the Ability to land in the backcountry. Enjoy,
Ron
