Turbine moose

Does anyone know of a turbine moose within 250-ish miles of Idaho I can check out? Considering starting one as a project and would like to learn more about the build process.

Re: Turbine moose

I have a friend selling an MP-14 Moose on amphibs that’s being marketed as good candidate for turbine conversion. Northwestern Alberta, so more than 250 mile from Idaho. About 500 NM north of the Idaho/Canada border.

Re: Turbine moose

Can't remember his name. but I chatted with him at Oshkosh, Id recommend giving him a call!

we compared to my RR250 206,

sounds like the moose has about 6 gallons/h more burn. a bit better takeoff on the lake and better climb,

Usefull load is on paper not amazing but the moose can(t) be overloaded a lot.

Re: Turbine moose

I have built/repaired 4 Moose and worked on many more. Happy to discuss the build prices and talk about pre-purchase inspections (done 14 of those too). Plus I have about 850 hours in radial & Lycoming powered Moose.

Hey Mike. Can you send me a PM or text on this? Thought I had your number but can't seem to find it.
Thanks.

Re: Turbine moose

There's also he bull moose with the LS3 Corvette engine conversion being sold by Moose Mods. I think they are based in Eastern WA, so fairly close to you
